How it works

From wallet to treatment
in seconds.

Eight steps that turn your driver's license into a life-saving connection between you and the first responder who needs to help you.

01
🔐

Verify your identity

Create a DunamisLink account and verify with ID.me using your driver's license — same system used by the VA and IRS.

02
📋

Build your profile

Connect MyChart to auto-populate, or manually enter blood type, allergies, medications, conditions, and emergency contacts.

03
🎛️

Set your consent

Choose exactly which fields a paramedic can access. You control everything — update it any time from any device.

04
💳

Get your DunamisCard

Optional: an element-resistant physical card with a laser-etched QR that survives fire, water, and impact.

05
🚑

Emergency occurs

A paramedic arrives on scene. They find your wallet. They see your license — or your DunamisCard.

06
📱

EMS opens DunamisResponse

The paramedic enters your DL number or scans your card. Their authenticated device sends an encrypted request to our server.

07

Profile in 5 seconds

Only the fields you consented to are returned. The paramedic now knows your name, allergies, medications, and who to call.

08
🏥

Hospital pre-notified

DunamisResponse automatically pushes your profile to the receiving hospital before the ambulance arrives.

Outcomes data & research

We measure time-to-identification, treatment decisions changed, and family notification speed. Co-author the outcomes paper.

δύναμις

Powering identification.
Protecting life.

DunamisMed was founded after a close friend went unidentified following an accident — a tragedy that proper identification could have helped address. No family should face that uncertainty. We built the infrastructure to prevent it.

Common questions

Everything you need
to know.

Yes. DunamisMed is built on HIPAA-compliant infrastructure hosted on AWS GovCloud. Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We sign Business Associate Agreements with every vendor that touches your information. Your data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any purpose other than emergency identification.
No. The QR code on your DunamisCard encodes an encrypted token — not your data. When scanned, the token is sent to our server along with the device's EMS credentials. If those credentials are not valid, nothing is returned. A civilian scanning your card with their phone sees nothing at all.
You control exactly which fields are visible. You can share your blood type and allergies but hide your medications. You can share your emergency contacts but hide your conditions. Every field has its own toggle. You can update your preferences any time from any device, and changes take effect immediately.
The free pilot is focused on Culver City residents, but anyone can join the waitlist for when we expand to other communities. We're launching in Culver City first because we live here and are partnering with local first responders. After the pilot, we're expanding to other California cities and beyond.
DunamisMed uses ID.me for identity verification — the same system used by the VA, IRS, and Social Security Administration to verify millions of Americans. The verification process is handled entirely by ID.me, a trusted government identity provider. DunamisMed never receives or stores a copy of your ID document.
Yes, at any time. You can delete your profile and all associated data from within your DunamisLink account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately. Your data is removed from all active systems within 30 days per our data retention policy and HIPAA requirements.
The DunamisCard is a one-time purchase of $25 for the polycarbonate/metal core version or $49 for titanium. Replacement cards are $15. During the Culver City pilot, the first 500 enrollees receive a card at no cost. The annual DunamisLink subscription is $35/year, or $99/year for a family of up to five members.
